The Dare County Sanitation Department has provided OBX Housing with the below information regarding the revised Trash Collection schedule for all of Dare County both Residential and Commercial. Although OBX Housing only manages properties in the Northern Outer Banks, we thought we would share this information so that our friends on Facebook could share with their friends who live in these other areas. The modified schedule is as follows:
Good Friday and Easter Holiday Trash Collection Schedule:
The Dare County C & D Landfill, Buxton Transfer Station, Rodanthe Recycle Center, and Manteo Recycle Yard will be closed on Friday, April 10, 2020, in observance of the Good Friday holiday.
The trash collection for the week of April 6, 2020, through April 10, 2020, will be as follows:
Residential Trash Collection:
Monday, April 6, 2020: Kitty Hawk, Colington, Buxton, Frisco, Hatteras.
Tuesday, April 7, 2020: Manteo, Wanchese, Manns Harbor, East Lake, Stumpy Point, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, Avon
Wednesday, April 8, 2020: Kitty Hawk, Colington, Buxton, Frisco, Hatteras
Thursday, April 9, 2020: Manteo, Wanchese, Manns Harbor, East Lake, Stumpy Point, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, Avon
Friday, April 10, 2020: CLOSED, NO TRASH COLLECTION
Commercial Trash Collection:
Commercial dumpsters will be picked up on Monday, April 6, 2020, and Thursday, April 9, 2020.
